Who are we?
The Youth Bloc is a nationwide movement of young activists who want to live in a modern and free Belarus.

We are united by faith in freedom, humanism and human rights.
Projects and Campaigns
The Youth Bloc strives to gather the world's best practices in order to make Belarus a country worth living for young people.

We take the proposals we advocate seriously and are ready to defend them by all available means.
Research of the Values and Views of the Belarusian Youth
What does the Belarusian youth dream about and what they think about the current political situation? The Yuoth Bloc's research group conducted a sociological survey among 18-35-year-old Belarusians. Survey period was April-May 2022. The results of the survey can be viewed on the corresponding web page:

Reform of the Belarusian Army
Youth Bloc advocates a complete reform of the system of the Armed Forces and conscription. Since 2019, as part of the #studymatters campaign, we have been researching the issue of conscription and military service, as well as campaigning for changes to the law on deferrments from military service. As part of our work, we have developed an alternative bill to change the law on deferrments from service.
Reform of Anti-Drug Legislation
Almost a third of all prisoners in Belarus are hostages of Article 328 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. Belarusian legislation in the field of drug policy is the most repressive in Europe. Together with the Legalize Belarus movement, the Youth Bloc advocates the partial decriminalization of Article 328. As part of the 2019 parliamentary campaign, we have developed an alternative bill on the relevant changes in legislation, because we believe that the fight against addiction cannot be carried out with the help of imprisonment.
Reform of the Parliament of the Republic of Belarus
Despite the authoritarian presidential regime established in Belarus, the Belarusian parliament has full power and is also responsible for all decisions of the government. The Youth Bloc proposes to make the sessions of the current and future parliament public and open and believes that Belarus should become a parliamentary republic.
Reform of Compulsory Assignment of Students
Forced assigment is not just a rudimentary practice, but a real repressive element. Together with the Belarusian Students' Association, Youth Bloc advocates a partial abolition of the assigment of students. As part of the 2019 parliamentary campaign, we have developed our vision of a gradual reform of the system in such a way that the students are no longer serfs, and the relationship between the employer and the young specialist is transparent, fair and, of course, market-based.
School of Humane Drug Policy
Together with the Legalize Belarus movement, Youth Bloc organizes an informal school on the problem of inhumane drug policy in Belarus. Within the framework of the school, participants will get acquainted with the history of the struggle for humane drug policy in Belarus, delve into the issue of psychoactive substances (PAS) in different countries, learn more about substances, addictions, problems of legislative regulation, support programs and international activism.
Political Educational Digests
Youth Bloc stands for a comprehensive increase in the political and economic literacy of the people of Belarus. In our social networks, every day we tell more about different social phenomena, historical events and news.
Our Team
We are an association of young activists with different backgrounds, experiences, and fields of endeavor. But we are united in one thing — belief that Belarus needs a solution to our common painful problems.
